About Laura Story

Laura Story is an American contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter and author. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Columbia International University, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Worship Studies from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Story began her music career as a bass player for the band Silers Bald.

Since 2005, she has served as a worship leader at Perimeter Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Her song “Blessings” was inspired by her husband’s diagnosis with a brain tumor. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart and achieved RIAA Gold and Platinum status.

Story’s discography includes the albums Indescribable (2002), There Is Nothing (2005), Great God Who Saves (2008), Blessings (2011), God of Every Story (2013), God with Us (2015), Open Hands (2017), and the EP I Give Up (2019). She has received one Grammy Award and six GMA Dove Awards. Billboard ranked her as the 40th Top Christian Artist of the 2010s.
