About Josh Wilson
Josh Wilson is a contemporary Christian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Born Joshua David Wilson on November 14, 1983, in El Dorado, Arkansas, he grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and began playing piano at age seven, later adding drums and guitar. He went on to study songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville.
Wilson signed his first record deal with Sparrow Records in 2006. He became known for his live performances as a multi-instrumentalist who uses looping techniques to play multiple instruments on stage. Over the course of his career, he has toured with artists including Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Matthew West.
His catalog includes songs such as “Savior, Please,” “Before the Morning,” “I Refuse,” “Fall Apart,” “That Was Then, This Is Now,” “Dream Small,” “Jesus Is Alive,” and “Revolutionary.” In 2012, Wilson was named ASCAP Christian Songwriter/Artist of the Year.
Wilson has also been open about his personal experiences with anxiety and depression, sharing that part of his story alongside his faith in his music and public appearances.
