Janet Manyowa

Janet Manyowa (born Janet Rejoice Rudo Manyeza on March 18, 1985) is a Zimbabwean gospel musician and songwriter. She began her music career in 2014 with the single “Amazing God” and is a member of the Celebration Choir at Celebration Church in Harare. Alongside her music ministry, Manyowa is also a professional accountant.

Her debut album, King of Glory, was released in 2015 and was followed by Grateful (2018), Sounds of Victory (2020), and Nenyasha (2023). Her catalog of singles includes “Zadzisa,” “Nyasha neNgoni,” “Ndimi,” and “Muchengeti.” In 2017, Manyowa launched a television talk show titled Redeemed, which focuses on gospel music and stories of faith. She also hosts the annual “A Night of Thanksgiving” (ANOT) concert series.

Manyowa has received multiple honors for her work. At the Zimbabwe Music Awards, she was named Best Newcomer and Best Female Artist in 2015, and later won Best Female Musician and Album of the Year in 2021. The PERMICAN Gospel Awards recognized her in 2019 with four wins: Best Album, Best Female Artist, Best Songwriter, and Video of the Year. She also earned the Outstanding Female Musician award at the National Arts Merit Awards in 2017, 2019, and 2024, and her song “Many Blessings” won Best of Africa Song at the SABC Crown Gospel Awards in 2021.

Beyond performing and recording, Manyowa serves as a board member for the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA), contributing to the wider music industry in her country.
