James Wilson

James Wilson is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader whose music blends alternative CCM with praise and worship. A native of Lucedale, Mississippi, he later relocated to Maryland and served on the staff at Living Hope Church in Lexington Park. His work is associated with the Apostolic music genre.

Wilson began leading worship at age fifteen, and his early involvement in music ministry included serving as a drummer. He has remained committed to creating music for congregational and personal worship throughout his career.

His first release was the EP Stuck in the Rain in 2011. In 2019 he released a full-length album, Songs for the Church, which reflects his heart for corporate worship. That same year saw the singles “Wait on the Lord” featuring Brooke Staten and “Give Me Jesus” featuring Draylin Young. He followed with the singles “I Gotta Song” and “Not Finished” in 2021, and in 2023 released “Bless the Lord” featuring Draylin Young. His single “Revival” arrived in 2025.
