Jabari Johnson

Jabari Johnson is a contemporary gospel artist, songwriter, and musician from Houston, Texas. He began singing and playing music at the age of three, and by age eight, he and his brother, Nicholas Johnson, formed a vocal quartet called The Johnson Brothers.

Johnson served as a lead guitarist at The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas, under Bishop T.D. Jakes. He has also worked as a session musician for gospel artists including Kim Burrell and Tori Kelly, contributing guitar work to Kelly’s Grammy Award-winning album Hiding Place. In 2018, he signed with Light Records.

Johnson’s solo releases include the singles “You Are Holy” (2015), “More of You” (2016), and “You’re Good” (2016), followed by the album Day of Redemption (2019). His single “Fixed Fight” (2019) reached number one on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. That same year, he was named New Artist of the Year at the 34th Annual Stellar Awards. Johnson also wrote the song “Try Jesus” for Tobe Nwigwe, and the two collaborated on the 2020 single.

In addition to his recording career, Johnson has served as a worship leader at New Life Covenant Southeast. He released the album One Touch in 2022.
