About Hillary Scott
Hillary Dawn Scott-Tyrrell was born on April 1, 1986, in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a singer and songwriter best known as a co-lead vocalist of the country music group Lady A. She attended Donelson Christian Academy, graduating in 2004.
In 2016, she released the gospel album Love Remains under the name Hillary Scott & the Scott Family. Produced by Ricky Skaggs, the album features her parents, Linda Davis and Lang Scott, and her sister, Rylee Scott. The project marked a turn toward faith-based songwriting, and its lead single “Thy Will” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.
Scott has also collaborated with contemporary Christian artists, including For King & Country on the song “For God is With Us.”
At the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, Love Remains won Best Contemporary Christian Album, and “Thy Will” won Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song, underscoring the album’s impact in the gospel and Christian music world.
