Edith Wairimu is a Kenyan gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. She was born in Gikambura, Kikuyu constituency, and raised by a single mother. Life was tough for her and her mother, who struggled to make ends meet. However, Nairobi Baptist Church came through for her and sponsored her high school education at Mary Leakey Girls' in Kabete after struggling with school fees and being sent home.
Edith's musical journey got a breakthrough after she posted some cover songs on her Facebook page. Much is not known about Edith. She is just known to be ministering at PCEA Mutuini. Actually, her first cover songs were posted on Mutuini PCEA page. It's from there that she activated her page and started posting videos there. From an exclusive interview that was done by Y254, she said that she started her music journey immediately after she spoke her first words. Funny, right? According to her mother, her first words when she was a young child were song lyrics. "Ingia ingia" were her first words. Her mother knew that she was a musician from the word go. Edith said that she was known to be a songbird back in her primary school and high school but she did not know that she was doing ministry. She only knew that she loved singing and that was all.
