Disciple is an American Christian metal and hard rock band formed in 1992 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The founding members were Kevin Young, Brad Noah, Adrian DiTommasi, and Tim Barrett. The band’s name was chosen to represent their mission to be followers of Jesus Christ, and that focus has remained central through decades of music and ministry.
Over the years, Disciple has released numerous studio albums, including Trail of Tears, Scars Remain, and Skeleton Psalms. The album Scars Remain earned the group a Dove Award for Rock Album of the Year, and the band has received multiple additional Dove Award nominations. Disciple has also achieved multiple No. 1 hits on Christian rock radio charts, with the band reporting a total of 15 No. 1 singles in its catalog. Songs such as “The Wait Is Over,” “After the World,” and “Dear X (You Don’t Own Me)” have been part of their radio success.
