About Danilo Montero
Danilo Montero was born on November 1, 1962, in San José, Costa Rica, and converted to Christianity at age 14. He is a contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and author. In 1983, he founded the ministry Sígueme Internacional. He currently serves as a pastor for the Spanish-speaking congregation at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.
Montero has released a number of albums throughout his career, including La Carta Perfecta, Mi Viaje, Devoción, Tu Amor, Fortaleza, Cantaré De Tu Amor, Eres Todopoderoso, and Celebra al Señor. He married Gloriana Díaz in 2006.
His work has been recognized with a 2008 Billboard Award for Latin music’s best Christian music album for Tu Amor. In 2014, he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Christian Album (Spanish Language) for La Carta Perfecta. Montero is also an author, having written books such as El Abrazo del Padre and Generación de Adoradores.
