CeCe Winans is an American gospel singer, worship leader, and pastor. Born Priscilla Marie Winans on October 8, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, she was raised in a musical family by her parents, Delores and David Winans. She first rose to prominence in the 1980s as half of the gospel duo BeBe & CeCe Winans, performing alongside her brother BeBe Winans.
Winans launched her solo career in 1995 with the album Alone in His Presence. She founded her own recording label, PureSprings Gospel, in 1999. Her solo discography includes prominent albums such as Alabaster Box (1999), Throne Room (2003), Let Them Fall in Love (2017), Believe for It (2021), and More Than This (2024). She also recorded popular songs including "Goodness of God" in 2022 and "Holy Forever" in 2023.
Beyond her music, Winans and her husband, Alvin Love II, serve as founding pastors at Nashville Life Church. Over the course of her career, she has received 18 Grammy Awards, 36 GMA Dove Awards, 28 Stellar Awards, and 6 Billboard Music Awards. She has achieved 19 million record sales certified by the RIAA and was named Top Gospel Female Artist of the Year by Billboard in 2021. Her many albums have topped the US Top Gospel Albums chart, cementing her place as one of the best-selling and most-awarded female gospel artists in the industry.
