About Amanda Cook
Amanda Lindsey Cook, born Amanda Falk on May 8, 1984, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and contemporary Christian music artist. She was raised on a family farm near Niverville, Manitoba, and began leading worship at age eleven. Her musical influences include Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones, and John Mayer.
Cook released her self-titled debut album, Amanda Falk, in 2004, which earned her a Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year in 2006. She also received the GMA Canada Covenant Award for Female Vocalist of the Year from 2005 through 2008. In 2010 she joined the Bethel Music collective and later served as a worship leader at Bethel Church in Redding, California.
Over the years she has released music under her birth name, as Amanda Lindsey Cook, and under the moniker Falcon. Her catalog includes the albums Beautiful (2007), In Between the Now & Then (2010), Brave New World (2015), House on a Hill (2019), Nova (2020), and State of the Union (2022). Her song “You Make Me Brave” (2014) appears in her body of work with Bethel Music. Brave New World won the GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year in 2016.
