Meaning & Inspiration
The Commission joins surrender, worship, and mission into one response to Jesus. The opening describes lives made new and found in Him, then moves from inward renewal to outward obedience. Undivided hearts do not remain private; they answer the call to carry the gospel so that people across the world may know Christ and be changed by His love. The repeated declaration of glory and honor keeps evangelism centered on Jesus rather than on the messengers.
The words “Here am I, send me” directly recall the willing response of Isaiah, while the command to go closely reflects the Great Commission. References to every tribe and tongue also point toward the biblical vision of a redeemed multitude worshiping before God. Together, these images give the song both urgency and hope: disciples hear the call, surrender ownership of their lives, and go with the message of Christ. Mission becomes an act of worship offered to the King of the nations.
