Meaning & Inspiration
“Winds of Glory” by New Wine Worship is a short prayer for the Holy Spirit to move like wind. The verse speaks of feeling “rushing winds of glory” over the singer, an image that recalls Acts 2:2, where a sound like a rushing mighty wind filled the room at Pentecost. The chorus then turns to petition: “Spirit blow from the heavens, bring a Mighty Wind,” followed by “Revive us,” “Breathe upon us,” and “Awaken us.”
