Meaning & Inspiration
“God of Grace” considers divine grace from before creation through final glory. The opening verse responds to mercy with wonder, describing restoration, ransom, and wholeness as gifts secured by the blood of Christ. Grace is presented as free and undeserved, yet costly because the saving work belongs to Jesus. That contrast gives the hymn both gratitude and reverence rather than treating grace as an abstract idea.
