Lyrics
Verse 1
We come into Your presence
To sing a song to You
A song of praise and honour
For all the things you helped us through
Verse 2
You gave a life worth living
A life in love in with You
And now I just love giving
All my praises back to You
Chorus
You're the Father of Creation
The risen Lamb of God
You're the One who walked away
From the empty tomb that day
And You set your people free
With love and liberty
And I can walk with you
Every night and every day

Meaning & Inspiration
Father Of Creation is a song of praise that thanks God for the new life He gave. The opening verse says the singer comes into His presence to sing a song of praise and honor for all He helped through, and the second verse says He gave a life worth living, in love with Him, and the singer loves giving praise back. The chorus names Him Father of Creation and the risen Lamb of God, the One who walked from the empty tomb, who set His people free with love and liberty, and with whom the singer can walk every day and night.
The titles draw on Genesis 1:1, Revelation 5:12 and Matthew 28:6, the freedom on Galatians 5:1, and the daily walk on Psalm 23:6 and Colossians 2:6. The simple wording and steady rhythm make it easy for a congregation to learn and sing.
