About We Are Messengers

We Are Messengers is an Irish-American contemporary Christian band formed in 2015 in Monaghan, Ireland. The group is fronted by lead vocalist and songwriter Darren Mulligan. Later that same year, the band relocated to the United States. Their music is rooted in contemporary Christian music, Christian rock, and worship, and their lyrics often focus on themes of faith, vulnerability, brokenness, and the goodness of God.

The band has toured extensively in the United States, Europe, and other regions. Their first full-length album, We Are Messengers, was released in 2016. They followed with the EP Honest in 2019, and the studio albums Power in 2020 and Wholehearted in 2021. Notable singles from their catalog include “Maybe It’s Ok,” “Magnify,” “Come What May,” and “We Three Kings.”

The band has achieved multiple top 10 singles on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. “Come What May” reached No. 1 on that chart, and their Christmas single “We Three Kings” debuted at No. 1 as well. We Are Messengers has received nominations for GMA Dove Awards and is a K-LOVE Fan Award winner.
