Voices of Fire

Voices of Fire is a gospel collective based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, formed by Bishop Ezekiel Williams and his nephew, Pharrell Williams. The choir’s formation and early development were chronicled in the 2020 Netflix docuseries titled Voices of Fire. The group’s musical style is described as “Rhythm + Praise,” a blend of gospel choral power with hip-hop, soul, and contemporary R&B.

The collective is led by Bishop Ezekiel Williams, with additional leadership from gospel figures including Patrick Riddick, Peggy Britt, and Larry George. Voices of Fire has performed at high-profile events, including a 2025 performance at the Vatican and the 68th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. The group has collaborated with several artists, among them John Legend, Tori Kelly, Teddy Swims, Quavo, and CeeLo Green.

The group’s album OPHANIM reached No. 16 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. The Voices of Fire docuseries received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Reality Program, Reality Competition or Game Show.
