Theory Hazit

Theory Hazit is the stage name of Thearthur Readie Washington IV, an American Christian hip hop artist and record producer. Born on November 3, 1978, in Winchester, Kentucky, he has been active in the music industry since 1996, building a career as both a rapper and a producer/DJ.

His debut album, Extra Credit, was released in 2007 through Groove Attack Productions. The project gained critical notice, earning a ranking as the 59th best hip hop album of 2007 by PopMatters. He followed with a steady stream of releases, including Lord Fire (2008), Modern Marvels (2010), Thr3e (2012), The Fall of the Lightbearer (2015), and I Love It Down Here (2019).

Throughout his career, Theory Hazit has been associated with the label Hip Hop Is Music. He has also collaborated with other artists in the Christian hip hop space, including the track “Conquer” with Propaganda and “King Kulture” with Beautiful Eulogy. His music regularly weaves together themes of personal struggle, social commentary, and faith, reflecting his perspective as a Christian artist working within the larger hip hop tradition.
