The Survivors Gospel Choir

The Survivors Gospel Choir is a music group based in Tabata Chang'ombe, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, consisting of youth dedicated to music ministry and Christian work. The choir’s ministry is rooted in the East African gospel tradition, and its members have focused on sharing their faith through song.

In its early stages, gospel artist Joel Lwaga served as the choir’s first music teacher and chairman. His mentorship helped shape the group’s foundation as they developed their sound and ministry. The choir has released several songs including "Mashamsham," "One Day," "Ahsante Mkapa," and "Nipe Tano." They also collaborated with Joel Lwaga on the track "Kihome Home" and released a remix titled "Nami Nimo (Zabron Singers Remix)." Each of these recordings reflects the choir’s commitment to Christian music within the Tanzanian gospel scene.

Through their work, The Survivors Gospel Choir has built a presence as a youth-led musical ministry, drawing from the guidance of artists like Joel Lwaga and continuing to produce songs that speak to their faith.
