The Singing Contractors

The Singing Contractors is a country-gospel duo made up of Indiana natives Josh Arnett and Aaron Gray. Both men grew up in musical families where they were exposed to gospel music and church performances from a young age. They also shared backgrounds in construction work and chose to keep their day jobs even as their music career grew.

The duo rose to prominence in 2015 after a video of them singing "How Great Thou Art" at a construction job site went viral on social media. That unexpected attention led to national opportunities and eventually a partnership with Gaither Music Group, a leading gospel label. Through Gaither, they released their national debut project, Working on a Building, Hymns & Gospel Classics, in 2019. The duo’s music is marked by country-gospel arrangements and close vocal harmonies.

Alongside that debut album and DVD, The Singing Contractors released a holiday collection titled Building a Christmas to Remember in 2019, and a full-length album called Hard Workin' Man in 2022. Their catalog includes recordings such as "How Great Thou Art," "Mary, Did You Know?," "He Touched Me," and the 2024 single "Build This Country Back." Through their releases and performances, the duo continues to blend their construction background with a commitment to gospel music.
