Tate Butts

Tate Butts is a Christian singer-songwriter from South Carolina who came to public attention in 2025 through a social media video of him performing alongside Brandon Lake. Born in August 2011, he grew up singing in church and has been signed to Warner Records and Enchntmnt LLC.

In July 2025, Butts won first place in the Solo Songwriting category at the International Teen Talent competition. His debut single, “My Defender,” was released in 2025 and debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. He also made a television appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he was interviewed and performed.

Butts followed his debut with the single “Brought Me This Far” in 2026. His early career has been marked by a faith-filled musical approach and a growing presence in Christian music through both social media and traditional outlets.
