About Ryan Ofei
Ryan Ofei is a Ghanaian-Canadian gospel musician and songwriter based in Ottawa, Ontario. During his time at Carleton University in Ottawa, he helped launch the campus worship group Campus Rush. His musical style blends gospel with R&B and African rhythms.
Ofei joined the Atlanta-based collective Maverick City Music in 2021 as a songwriter and performer. With the collective, he contributed to projects that received Grammy nominations and wins. One of his recorded songs with the group is “Blood is Still the Blood,” released in 2021.
Ofei released his first EP, David’s Heart, in 2019, followed by the singles “No Limits” and “Jehova” that same year. His EP The Vow arrived in 2022, and the single “Abba” came out in 2023. In 2024, he released his debut solo album, Restore. The album earned Ofei the Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year in 2025. He won the same Juno Award in 2026 for his EP Jubilate, released in 2025.
