Paul Mwai

Paul Mwai is a Kenyan gospel musician and worship minister. He was born in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, and is the fourth born in a family of seven. He began composing music and performing in church at a young age. He married Beth Maina on August 27, 2011.

His early albums include Wauzima, Race, Ndigatiga Kuga, Racing Up, Am in Love, and Through It All. He released the album Only Jesus in 2014. Among the songs in his catalog are “Racing Up,” “Murangiri,” “Nitatangaza,” “Msalaba,” “Nimeliguza,” “Akorwo Niwe,” and “Ndigatiga.” He won the Groove Award for Best Worship Song of the Year for “Am in the Race” and the Groove Award for Best Worship Album for Race. He also received the Kigoocho Praise Award for Best Worship Album of the Year.

Mwai relocated to the United States to focus on ministry. He serves as a reverend at the Racing Up House of Worship.
