Oru Worship

ORU Worship is the official chapel band and music ministry of Oral Roberts University, a Christian institution located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The group is a community of students who serve as the primary worship leaders for the university’s chapel services. Directed by Kimmie Simon, the ministry is centered on leading worship, ministering through music, and participating in music missions.

Students become part of ORU Worship by auditioning for the ORU Worship Center. The group regularly records and releases live worship music, often featuring student vocalists and musicians. Their catalog includes the albums My Offering (2020), You Are My One Thing (2022), Purify (2025), and PURIFY (Live From Chapel) (2026). Among the songs in their repertoire are “All Hail King Jesus,” “Glory Honor Power,” “Give Me Jesus,” and “Rivers of Joy.”

Through its recordings and chapel leadership, ORU Worship provides a platform for students to develop as worship ministers while supporting the spiritual life of the Oral Roberts University campus.
