Moji Short Baba

Moji Short Baba, born James Muhia, is a Kenyan gospel musician known for an upbeat Afro-pop style. He was born and raised in the Ngando area of Nairobi, Kenya, and began his music career as a member of the gospel duo Kelele Takatifu alongside Silvanus Otieno, known as Didi. Following his time with the group, Moji Short Baba launched his solo career in 2020.

He is married to Nyawira Gachugi. His music often incorporates elements of satire, comedy, and faith-based messages, blending entertainment with ministry. Since going solo, he has built a catalog that includes songs such as “Vimbada,” a collaboration with Jabidii, and “Maisha Yangu.” He also recorded “Utukuke” featuring Eunice Njeri, as well as tracks like “Mwaka Huu,” “Mwema,” “Ebeneza,” “Amenitoa Mbali,” and “Highly Favoured.”

Through his distinct sound and approach, Moji Short Baba has established a place for himself in the Kenyan gospel music scene, drawing listeners with both his humor and his spiritual grounding.
