About Micah Stampley
Micah Stampley is a gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader whose musical journey began early in his father’s church. Born Micah Keith Stampley on September 7, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he is the son of pastor Richard Stampley and Delmarie Stampley. At age seven, he began directing his father’s church choir. A self-taught pianist, Stampley is known as a multi-octave vocalist.
In 2004, Stampley won the Stellar Award Gospel Star Search competition. His debut album, The Songbook of Micah, was released in 2005 and reached number three on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. That same year, Billboard named him one of the “Top 10 Gospel Music Artists” of 2005, and AOL Black Voices named him one of the “Top 11 Gospel Geniuses” of 2005. His subsequent albums include A Fresh Wind (2006), Ransomed (2008), Release Me (2010), One Voice (2011), Love Never Fails (2013), and To the King: Vertical Worship (2016). He released the single “Holy” in 2025.
Stampley has served as a musical voice for the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and is the president of Interface Entertainment. In 2022, he and his wife, Heidi Stampley, founded Shift Global Ministries. He received the 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
