About Lynda Randle
Lynda Randle is a prominent southern gospel singer and a longtime featured artist in the Gaither Homecoming series. She was born on February 7, 1962, in Washington, D.C., and is the sister of Michael Tait, known for his work with dc Talk and Newsboys. Randle graduated from Liberty University in 1989 and has been a regular presence in the Gaither Homecoming concerts and recordings since 1998.
Beyond her singing career, Randle leads Lynda Randle Ministries, which is based in Kansas City, Missouri. She is also an author, having written books including Cab Driver’s Daughter and Through It All. She is married to Michael Randle, a pastor, and the couple serves together in ministry.
Randle has released a number of albums over the years, including Timeless: Favorites From the Homecoming Series (2003), A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson (2004), God On the Mountain (2005), Hymns (2007), Woman After God's Own Heart (2008), and I'm Free (2009). Her 2004 album A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson won a GMA Dove Award for Traditional Gospel Album of the Year. More recently, she released the EP Free to Love in 2023 and the full-length album Pilgrim Journey in 2024.
