Lusanda Spiritual Group

Lusanda Spiritual Group is a South African gospel music band founded by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Lusanda Mcinga. Mcinga has served as the group’s lead singer for over 26 years and is a self-taught musician. The band performs songs primarily in Xhosa and English, and its sound is rooted in traditional gospel music.

The group’s early recording “Ndiyakhala” was released in 1998, followed by “We Praise Your Name” in 2005. Their album catalog includes “Abanye Bayawela” (2003), “Umoya Wenkosi” (2005), “Ixilongo” (2006), and “Buyani Buyani” (2008). Additional songs in their repertoire include “Ndamemeza” and “Esiphambanweni.”

Lusanda Spiritual Group has achieved platinum-selling status for their albums and has received multiple gospel awards. The group is associated with the Gallo Record Company.
