About Kirk Dearman
Kirk Dearman is a singer, songwriter, and pianist whose work has shaped worship music in churches. He began playing piano at age five and studied classical music for eight years. At age 19, he toured internationally as a singer and keyboardist with a Christian music group. He later served as a youth choir director in Dallas, Texas, where he led a 150-voice choir.
From 1984 to 1991, Dearman and his wife, Deby Dearman, lived in Europe, where they co-led a performing arts company. The Dearmans later co-founded “Come to the Quiet,” a worship series and ministry based in Franklin, Tennessee, focused on contemplative worship.
Dearman’s songwriting includes the worship song “We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise,” which was a number-one song with Christian Copyright Licensing for five years. In addition to congregational music, he has released several solo piano albums, including The Calm (2007), Christmas Calm (2010), Reverence (2013), Song of Songs (2013), Soli Deo Gloria (2016), Awaken (2017), and Heart Hymns (2018). His instrumental work reflects the meditative spirit of his “Come to the Quiet” ministry.
