About Kim Hopper
Kim Hopper, born Kim Greene, is a soprano in Southern Gospel music known for her long tenure as a featured vocalist with the family group The Hoppers. She began her musical career as a child performing with her brothers in the family ensemble The Greenes, singing with that group for ten years before joining The Hoppers. She married Dean Hopper, a member of the group, in November 1988, and officially joined The Hoppers the following year.
As a member of The Hoppers, she has appeared on many Gaither Homecoming videos and tours. The group’s Southern Gospel catalog includes songs such as “Here I Am,” “Shoutin’ Time,” and “Jerusalem.” In addition to her work with the group, she has released solo albums, including Imagine (2003), I Just Wanted You to Know (2008), and Softly & Tenderly (2021).
Her contributions have been recognized multiple times by the Singing News Fan Awards, where she has been named Favorite Soprano and Female Vocalist. Kim and her husband, Dean, have two daughters, Karlye Jade and Lexus Jazz, and the family resides in Summerfield, North Carolina. In 2025, it was announced that she joined the leadership team of GFM Productions.
