About Kim Hill
Kim Hill, born Kimberly Lynn Hill on December 30, 1963, is a Contemporary Christian Music singer, songwriter, and worship leader. She was born in Starkville, Mississippi, and raised in Meridian, Mississippi. Hill attended Mississippi State University before signing her first record deal with Reunion Records in Nashville. Her early career included providing background vocals for artists such as Rich Mullins.
Hill released a series of solo albums during the late 1980s and 1990s, including Kim Hill (1988), Talk About Life (1989), Brave Heart (1991), So Far So Good (1994), and The Fire Again (1997). She has been nominated for a Grammy Award.
Since 1997, Hill has served as a worship leader at various women’s conferences, including Focus on the Family’s “Renewing the Heart” events. In 1998 she released the album Renewing the Heart: For Such a Time as This, which won a GMA Dove Award for Praise and Worship Album of the Year in 1999.
Hill later released Surrounded by Mercy (2003) and Broken Things (2007). Alongside her music and ministry, she is a co-owner of The Treehouse, a retreat center in North Carolina.
