Juanita Bynum was born on January 16, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, and is an American gospel singer, author, and pastor. Recognized as a prominent Black female television evangelist, she also serves as the founder and president of Juanita Bynum Ministries. Her early education included attending Saints Academy, a Church of God in Christ (COGIC) boarding school in Mississippi.
Bynum’s music career began in 1995, and she has since released multiple gospel and worship-oriented projects. Her discography includes A Piece of My Passion (2006), Gospel Goes Classical (a collaboration with Jonathan Butler, also 2006), Morning Glory (2010), and Pour My Love on You (2012).
A Piece of My Passion reached No. 55 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Bynum is a certified platinum recording artist in the gospel industry. Alongside her musical work, she remains active as a pastor and author, furthering her ministry through television and written teaching.
