About Jessica Reedy
Jessica Reedy is a gospel singer who first gained national attention as the first runner-up on the second season of BET’s gospel singing competition Sunday Best in 2009. She was born on July 12, 1988, in Saginaw, Michigan, and began singing at age four in church, where her grandfather served as a pastor.
Her debut album, From the Heart (2011), reached No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. The album included the singles “Put It On the Altar” and “God Has Smiled On Me.” She followed with the album Transparent (2014), featuring the singles “Grace” and “Better.” In 2015, she won a Stellar Award. She was also named New Artist of the Year in the SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards in 2011.
Beyond her recording career, Reedy founded her own record label, Purity Records. She has appeared on television programs such as Celebration of Gospel and the Stellar Gospel Awards. She is also an author, having written a book titled Learning To Live In The Moment. In 2025, she released the single “Lady In Waiting.”
