About Jeff and Sheri Easter
Jeff and Sheri Easter are a husband-and-wife Southern gospel duo based in the United States. Both come from deep gospel-music roots: Jeff Easter is the son of a member of The Easter Brothers, and Sheri Easter is the daughter of a member of The Lewis Family. After each had performed with The Lewis Family, they formed their own act in 1988. Their music blends Southern gospel with country and bluegrass, a sound they have carried through a career that has included multiple Grammy Award nominations.
The duo has been a regular part of the Gaither Homecoming video series and tours since 1993. Their children, Madison and Morgan, have performed as part of the band. Over the years, Jeff and Sheri Easter have released a series of albums, including New Tradition (1987), Homefolks (1988), Thread of Hope (1994), Ordinary Day (2000), Eyes Wide Open (2013), Smalltown Someone (2016), and the collection Sing It Again: A Collection of Favorites (2017). In 2024 they released the single “Here Comes Jesus.”
The duo’s achievements include ten GMA Dove Awards as of 2024. Sheri Easter has been named “Favorite Alto” by Singing News eleven times and “Female Vocalist” by the same publication four times. Jeff and Sheri Easter have also earned the Trio of the Year award at the 2021 Singing News Fan Awards and are three-time winners of the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association Awards.
