Jamila Dotto

Jamila Dotto is a gospel singer, songwriter, and performer based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Her music is rooted in the gospel and Afrosounds genres, and she has built a reputation both as a member of the Tanzania-based gospel group Zabron Singers and as a solo artist.

Dotto’s musical journey began at a young age. She joined the Zabron Singers at seventeen after being discovered while ministering at a church in Dodoma. Her time with the group brought her into the national gospel music scene, and she has since pursued a solo career alongside her continued involvement with the ensemble.

As a solo artist, Dotto has released several recordings. Her catalog includes the EP Ninakuamini and the singles Nimerudi Kushukuru, Tuwashitue Kidogo, Mungu Amefanya Tena, Umenisaidia, and Asante Kwa Wema. She also released Fungua Njia, a collaboration featuring Japhet Zabron. Through these works, she continues to share her gift of gospel music with listeners in Tanzania and beyond.
