Hollyn was born Holly Marie Miller on January 3, 1997, in Waverly, Ohio, and is an American singer and songwriter known for a blend of pop and R&B. She first gained attention as a contestant on season 12 of American Idol in 2013, where she reached the Hollywood rounds. TobyMac discovered her videos online and signed her to Gotee Records, launching her career in Christian music.
Her self-titled debut EP, Hollyn, was released in 2015 and reached No. 10 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. The single “Alone,” featuring TRU, peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. In 2016 she received a Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year, and that same year she released the single “Love With Your Life.” Her debut full-length album, One-Way Conversations, followed in 2017 and rose to No. 6 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. She also released the single “Hola!” that year.
Hollyn has collaborated with TobyMac on the songs “Backseat Driver” and “Lights Shine Bright.” Her later work includes the EP Bye, Sad Girl, released in 2019. She is married to Dillon Wilson, a pastor.
