About HLE
HLE is the stage name of Hlengiwe Ntombela, a South African gospel singer and songwriter born in 1991. She grew up in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, as the daughter of a bishop at Potters House Family Church. HLE began her career as a backing vocalist for Ntokozo Mbambo and later became a member of the gospel choir Joyous Celebration.
In 2022, she released the live album Your Kingdom On Earth (Live), which peaked at number one on the Apple Music Gospel Albums chart in seven countries. The project earned her a South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Contemporary Faith Album. That same year, she signed a record deal with Motown Gospel, a division of Capitol Christian Music Group. Her catalog also includes the project Take Heart and the singles “Dwala,” “You Are,” and “I’m Amazed.”
Beyond her music career, HLE has hosted television programs including “Adlib” and “VIP Invite” on South African networks. She also launched “The HOW Project,” a ministry focused on the heart of a worshiper.
