Geraldine Oduor

Geraldine Oduor, also known as Geraldine Akinyi Oduor, is a Kenyan gospel musician, worship leader, and songwriter. By profession, she is a secondary school teacher, instructing students in Biology and Chemistry. Her path in music ministry began in 1993 after she became a born-again Christian, and she has since balanced her calling in education with a dedication to sharing her faith through song.

Oduor recorded her first album, Damu Ya Yesu, in 2008, followed by a second album, Mungu Wa Bibilia, in 2009. Her musical style is contemporary Christian worship, often incorporating elements of afro-fusion such as reggae and benga. Her catalog includes songs like “Wewe Ni Mungu,” “Unaweza,” “Sibuor Kalo,” and “NITAKUIMBIA,” as well as collaborations such as “Napenda” featuring Christina Shusho and “Msaada Wangu” featuring Dan Shilla.

Beyond recording, Oduor is active as a preacher, conference speaker, and humanitarian. In 2010, she won a Groove Award for the Nyanza region, recognizing her impact on gospel music in that area. Through her dual roles as educator and gospel artist, she continues to serve her community and share a message of faith.
