Gaise Baba

Gaise Baba, born Akinade Ibuoye on August 5, 1986, in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, is a Nigerian Afro-gospel musician who creates faith-based music. He blends Gospel, Afrobeats, and urban contemporary influences, often performing in a mix of Yoruba, English, and Nigerian Pidgin. His academic background includes a degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and a diploma in Music Business from Berklee College of Music.

He began his music career in 2010. He describes himself as a “culture architect” who uses music for social impact and youth empowerment. He also founded the LightOut Initiative, a high school musical outreach program, and ARAMANDA, an Afro-urban music and arts festival focused on alternative Christian sounds.

His discography includes the album Gaisebaba (2011), the EP Logo (2020), and the album A Decade After (2022). In 2025, he released the single “No Turning Back II,” which debuted at number sixteen on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
