David Ekene

David Ekene, born David Ekenedirichukwu Daniel, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and pastor. He was born on November 1, 1984, in Sabon Gari, Kano State, Nigeria. After completing his theological education, he graduated from the Theological Seminary of Northern Nigeria in 2010 and was later ordained as a pastor under the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria.

Ekene’s music ministry includes a number of recorded songs and releases. His catalog features albums and singles such as Greater Tomorrow (2018), My Ebenezer (2020), I Know Your Name (2020), and Let Them Know (Live) (2024). He also appears on the track “God of Signs” (feat. David Ekene) (2025), and his other songs include “Yahweh,” “Hallelujah,” and “Guiding Angel.” He has performed at events including the Akwa Ibom Carol Festival.

Alongside his music and pastoral work, Ekene founded the TGT Refugee Foundation, a philanthropic organization. His background in theological training and his role as an ordained pastor inform his approach to both worship and community service.
