David Timothy Dunn is a Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) singer-songwriter who entered the industry after a path that included engineering studies, a national television appearance, and humanitarian work in Africa. Born on May 25, 1984, in Midland, Texas, Dunn studied petroleum engineering at Texas Tech University and graduated with honors. Before pursuing music full-time, he appeared as a contestant on the second season of NBC’s The Voice. Following college, he spent thirteen months in Africa, where he engaged in humanitarian and missions work.
Dunn is based in Nashville, Tennessee. He married his wife, Leen, in 2017. His approach to songwriting often draws from his life experiences and Christian faith, which he explores through the contemporary Christian genre.
