About Dan Bremnes

Dan Bremnes is a Canadian Christian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer. He was born on May 11, 1983, in Kamloops, British Columbia, and grew up in Salmon Arm as the son of a pastor. His music career began in 2010 with the independent release of his album Your Strength. He later signed to Curb Records (also known as Curb | Word Entertainment) and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bremnes has released several studio albums, including Where the Light Is (2015), Wherever I Go (2019), and Into the Wild (2022). His earlier work includes the EP Light My Way (2012). Among his singles, “Beautiful” reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart in 2014, and “Wherever I Go” peaked at No. 14. His song “Up Again” and “Hold You Tight” have also appeared in his catalog. In 2016, he won a Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year for Where the Light Is, and he has received a total of 15 GMA Canada Covenant Awards.

In public interviews, Bremnes has spoken candidly about his personal journey with faith and periods of doubt while working as a Christian artist. His background as a pastor’s son and his willingness to share those experiences have shaped the songwriting found throughout his recorded work.
