About Christy Nockels
Christy Nockels is a contemporary Christian music artist and worship leader who has been involved in worship ministry for much of her adult life. Born Christy Hill on November 17, 1973, in Fort Worth, Texas, she grew up in Oklahoma as the daughter of a pastor and began leading worship corporately by the age of seventeen.
In 1995, she married Nathan Nockels, and the two have collaborated in music and ministry ever since. She was a member of the duo Watermark, which released five albums. Starting in 1997, she became a featured worship leader with the Passion Conferences, a role she has continued over the years. In 2008, she and her husband helped found Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
As a solo artist, Christy Nockels has released several albums, including Life Light Up, Into the Glorious, the live album Let It Be Jesus, the Christmas project The Thrill of Hope, and Be Held: Lullabies for the Beloved. She also recorded as part of the group Sons & Daughters on the album Holy Roar. In 2016, she began hosting the podcast The Glorious in the Mundane, and she is the author of the book The Life You Long For. Together with her husband, she co-owns the independent label Keeper's Branch Records.
