About Chris Shalom
Chris Shalom (born Christopher Shalom) is a Nigerian gospel artist, songwriter, and music producer who serves as a worship leader at Christ Embassy. His introduction to music came at age nine through his mother, who was a choir member. After relocating to Lagos, Nigeria, he joined the Christ Embassy choir in 1995, beginning a long association with the church’s worship ministry.
Shalom’s vocal gifts earned him recognition; Pastor Chris Oyakhilome described him as “the man with the golden voice.” He pursued formal musical training at the MUSON School of Music and also studied at the University of Lagos. Over the course of his career, he has released multiple albums and built a catalog of gospel songs.
Among his well-known recordings are “My Beautifier,” “You Are The Reason,” “Power Belongs To You,” and “God of Miracles and Wonders.” He also released the song “Umejua Kunifurahisha.” In 2020 he released the singles “Bigger” and “Jesus,” and in 2022 his album I Delight was released.
