Candy Christmas

Candy Christmas is a Southern gospel recording artist and the founder of The Bridge Ministry in Nashville, Tennessee. Born Carmel Hemphill in 1961 in Bastrop, Louisiana, she is a third-generation gospel singer with family ties to The Happy Goodman Family.

Christmas has built a career in Southern gospel music, recording songs such as “There Is Power In the Blood,” “Master of the Wind,” and “On The Other Side.” She has also performed as a featured artist with Bill and Gloria Gaither. Live recordings in her catalog include “Lord, Send Your Angels,” “The Only Real Peace,” and “Peace Be Still.”

Beyond her music, Christmas is the founder and president of The Bridge Ministry, an organization based in Nashville that serves the homeless. She has publicly discussed her personal journey with depression and her transition into this ministry work.
