About Blanca

Blanca Elaine Callahan, known professionally as Blanca, is a Puerto Rican-born American Contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter. She was born on February 10, 1986, in Puerto Rico and is based in Orlando, Florida. Blanca began her career as a member of the Christian hip-hop/pop group Group 1 Crew, serving with the group from 2003 until 2013. During those years, she received five GMA Dove Awards as part of the ensemble.

In 2015, Blanca launched her solo career with the release of the EP Who I Am, whose title track reached number one on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. That same year, she released her debut self-titled studio album, Blanca, through Word Records. Her music blends pop, Latin, hip-hop, and gospel influences. She has released albums in both English and Spanish, including Shattered (2018), Quebrantado (2019), The Heartbreak and The Healing (2022), and Full Bloom (2025). She also released the Spanish-language EP Renovada in 2020, and the single “Even At My Worst” in 2022.

Beyond her Dove Awards with Group 1 Crew, Blanca received the Tecla Award for Best Musician Creating Content on Social Networks in 2019. She was also nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the 2022 K-Love Fan Awards. Her solo catalog continues to reflect the genre-blending style she developed during her time in Group 1 Crew.
