About Bethel Revival Choir
The Bethel Revival Choir is a Ghanaian contemporary gospel choir based at the Trinity Parish of the Global Evangelical Church in Kotobabi, Accra. The choir began its ministry in the early 1990s. The group is headed by Dr. George Hedidor, directed by Henry Datsomor, and managed by David Boahini.
The choir is known for modernizing traditional Ewe songs and hymns. The group gained wider recognition following the release of their second album, Akpe, in 2018. Their catalog also includes the albums Halleluyah (2007) and Enyo (2022). Notable recordings include "Vovome Ewe Praise Medley" featuring Joe Mettle, "Agbadza Gospel Medley," "Tegbe Tegbe (Forever)" featuring Ps. Edwin Dadson, "Ewe Choral Medley," and the album Yesu.
The Bethel Revival Choir has received significant industry recognition. In 2019, they won Group of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. That same year, they took home Gospel Act of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, and Group of the Year at the 3Music Awards. In 2022, the choir earned Group of the Year at the Praise Achievement Awards and Traditional Gospel Song of the Year at the Ghana National Gospel Music Awards.
