About Allison Durham Speer
Allison Durham Speer is a Southern Gospel singer and a long-time featured artist on the Gaither Homecoming video series. She was raised on a farm in central Kentucky and began her music career at age 18 after performing at a Squire Parsons concert.
She married Brian Speer, a member of the Speer family, in 1989. Over the years, she has recorded numerous solo albums. Her debut release, Allison Durham, came out in 1989, followed by projects including Break This Heart (1992), Walking of Freedom (1993), The Finding (1997), Come Away (2002), This Old House (2006), The Holy Hills (2010), Writer (2014), and Abandon (2016).
In addition to her recording career, Speer founded the Elijah Conference, an event designed to train and mentor aspiring ministers and musicians. She has performed at major gatherings such as the Southern Baptist Convention and the Nazarene General Assembly. She is also known for incorporating Christian comedy into her ministry and performances.
