About All Sons and Daughters
All Sons & Daughters was an American Christian worship music duo formed in 2009, consisting of Leslie Jordan (vocals, guitar) and David Leonard (vocals, piano). The pair originated from Franklin, Tennessee, where they served as worship leaders at the nondenominational Journey Church. Their musical style is characterized as acoustic, folk, and contemporary worship, and they were known for writing songs intended for corporate worship within the church.
The duo released four full-length studio albums and several EPs on the Integrity Music label. Their first album, Season One, arrived in 2012, followed by the live recording Live in 2013. Their self-titled album All Sons & Daughters came out in 2014, and they released Poets & Saints in 2016. The latter album was inspired by the lives of historical Christian figures such as C.S. Lewis and Saint Augustine. Notable songs in their catalog include “Great Are You Lord,” “Brokenness Aside,” “Christ Be All Around Me,” and “All the Poor and Powerless.”
The duo’s work earned industry recognition. They received a nomination for Worship Album of the Year at the 2015 Dove Awards for All Sons & Daughters, and a nomination for Worship Song of the Year for “Great Are You Lord.” They also received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Poets & Saints, and a second Grammy nomination for their contribution to the song “Soul On Fire” by Third Day. All Sons & Daughters officially announced the end of their time as a band on February 9, 2018.
