Iliyobaki, ndugu, tunakusihini na kuwaonya kwamba mwenende katika Bwana Yesu; kama mlivyopokea kwetu jinsi iwapasavyo kuenenda na kumpendeza Mungu, kama nanyi mnavyoenenda, vivyo hivyo mpate kuzidi sana.
Finally, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, just as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more.

Kwa kuwa mnajua ni maagizo gani tuliyowapa kwa Bwana Yesu.
For you know the instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.

Maana haya ndiyo mapenzi ya Mungu, kutakaswa kwenu, mwepukane na uasherati;
For it is God’s will that you should be holy: You must abstain from sexual immorality;

kila mmoja wenu ajue kuuweza mwili wake katika utakatifu na heshima;
each of you must know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

si katika hali ya tamaa mbaya, kama Mataifa wasiomjua Mungu.
not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God;

Mtu asimpunje ndugu yake wala kumkosa katika jambo hili; kwa sababu Bwana ndiye alipizaye kisasi cha haya yote; kama tulivyowaambia kwanza, tukashuhudia sana.
and no one should ever violate or exploit his brother in this regard, because the Lord will avenge all such acts, as we have already told you and solemnly warned you.

Maana Mungu hakutuitia uchafu, bali tuwe katika utakaso.
For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness.

Basi yeye anayekataa, hakatai mwanadamu bali Mungu, anayewapa ninyi Roho wake Mtakatifu.
Anyone, then, who rejects this command does not reject man but God, the very One who gives you His Holy Spirit.

Katika habari ya upendano, hamna haja niwaandikie; maana ninyi wenyewe mmefundishwa na Mungu kupendana.
Now about brotherly love, you do not need anyone to write to you, because you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.

Kwa maana mnafanya neno hili kwa ndugu wote walio katika Makedonia yote. Lakini twawasihi, ndugu, mzidi sana.
And you are indeed showing this love to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to excel more and more

Tena mjitahidi kutulia, na kutenda shughuli zenu, na kufanya kazi kwa mikono yenu wenyewe, kama tulivyowaagiza;
and to aspire to live quietly, to attend to your own matters, and to work with your own hands, as we instructed you.

ili mwenende kwa adabu mbele yao walio nje, wala msiwe na haja ya kitu cho chote.
Then you will behave properly toward outsiders, without being dependent on anyone.

Lakini, ndugu, hatutaki msijue habari zao waliolala mauti, msije mkahuzunika kama na wengine wasio na matumaini.
Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope.

Maana, ikiwa twaamini ya kwamba Yesu alikufa akafufuka, vivyo hivyo na hao waliolala katika Yesu, Mungu atawaleta pamoja naye.
For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

Kwa kuwa twawaambieni haya kwa neno la Bwana, kwamba sisi tulio hai, tutakaosalia hata wakati wa kuja kwake Bwana, hakika hatutawatangulia wao waliokwisha kulala mauti.
By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep.

Kwa sababu Bwana mwenyewe atashuka kutoka mbinguni pamoja na mwaliko, na sauti ya malaika mkuu, na parapanda ya Mungu; nao waliokufa katika Kristo watafufuliwa kwanza.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise.

Kisha sisi tulio hai, tuliosalia, tutanyakuliwa pamoja nao katika mawingu, ili tumlaki Bwana hewani; na hivyo tutakuwa pamoja na Bwana milele.
After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

Basi, farijianeni kwa maneno hayo.
Therefore encourage one another with these words.
